Based on an article, titled, US women's soccer salaries, from Forbes magazine, I argue that Women's soccer in the US has no justification for paying women a less amount of money compared to men. Women's soccer players are speaking up and filled out a complaint with the federal equal employment opportunity commission.
This article published in Forbes magazine by Bill Conerly, ¨The US soccer salaries,¨ informs us that People with higher base earnings will demand more money for their time with people with lower base earnings. When it comes to soccer, a soccer player plays for their ¨Club or Country,¨ club is their ¨job¨ because that's what they are getting payed for the most and the most talented play for their country, like national teams. The author is knowledgeable about the topic because he mentions the different salaries comparing both men and woman. According to Bill Conerly the US has a player named Bradley who gets payed about 6 million dollars from his club while one of the best women soccer player in the us with the women's league gets payed about $126,000.
According to the article discrimination comes from the fans, the reason why mens get payed more is because they have hugely higher attendance and hugely higher television audiences. One of the best players in the world gets payed about 79$ million while one of the best soccer women players like Alex morgan gets paid 1 million. Fewer people also attend the NWSL games. This means that they wouldn't have enough money to pay them if people are not spending money on tickets, etc.
