Elon musk is mostly known for his work with Tesla and SpaceX but he never stops innovating and recently started a new company called the Boring company. In a ted talk interview Elon shares with us how he had the time to start the company and still run it while also innovating Tesla. From this interview I learned how Elon continues to try to innovate along with running all these businesses with his scarcity of time.
In the ted talk Musk claims he spends maybe 2 or 3% of his time on the Boring company; which is a company that mainly is focussing on working on new ideas, one being building tunnels under cities to relieve traffic. This shows how productive Elon Musk is with managing his time because he can run a successful and new innovative company with only 2 two 3% of his time.
Later in the ted talk Elon Musk while talking about the solar roofs tesla is working on shares how he spends at least 1 day a week thinking of new ideas and how he can innovate his companies. Elon also trusts a lot of his co-workers and allows them to suggest innovative ideas. Musk also shares how he is always thinking of ways to relieve problems in society and that is how he came up with the Boring company while sitting in traffic.
Overall Elon Musk is arguably the most successful and innovate entrepreneur of this generation and one big reason is how he manages his time.
