Choosing a restaurant location is no doubt one of the most important decisions in the success of a restaurant. Lorri Mealey, who has her bachelor's degree in communications from UMass, illustrates these ideas in her article on the balance.com. The location can make a break the success of a restaurant.
First off, when choosing your location don’t be impulsive. This is an investment that can make a break your company and should be thoroughly examined before making a decision. As said in the article, one should “visit prospective restaurant sites during different times of days, during the week and on weekends.” This gives the business owner the opportunity to see how it might thrive during all working hours and conditions, which is very important in the success of a restaurant. The author writes, “If they have to walk a ways to get to your restaurant, they may opt to go somewhere else ‘more convenient.’” This argument seems very true as many people get lazy and choose to visit different restaurants because of the accessibility.

Another aspect to consider is visibility. Getting your brand out there is crucial for a restaurant's success. A restaurant that is hard to find ultimately will not attract customers. It is crucial to attract consumers by appealing them to your restaurant visually. Lorri writes, “Making your restaurant (or restaurant sign) visible to the public is like free advertising.” All of these factors are crucial in determining the success of your restaurant.
